Lizeth Alanis holds a Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Services with a specialization in Addiction Studies (2014) and a Master’s degree in Clinical Rehabilitation Services (2019). With over a decade of experience in the mental health field, including four years of direct individual counseling, Lizeth brings extensive expertise to her practice.
She began her career as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor Intern (LCDC-I) and later obtained her full LCDC license before pursuing her LPC credentials. Lizeth continues to maintain her LCDC licensure, driven by a strong passion for helping individuals struggling with substance use disorders, which remains one of her specialties.
Lizeth has successfully worked with adolescents and adults facing a range of mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, stress management, grief, trauma, substance use, and adjustment disorders. In addition to her focus on substance use disorders, she specializes in supporting individuals with Autism, trauma, and grief. Her experience also extends to working with mood and personality disorders.
Her therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Person-Centered Therapy.
